Well come on out! It's got a nice corner lot. You can raise the population to 31.

March 12 2009, 05:04:21 UTC 3 years ago

Come on to Indiana. I'll help you get it. we'll have to be careful though, the floor is rotted around it.

I always feel the need to liberate items that still look usable, which I don't because I don't want to go to jail again, but that TV, the dresser and those mason jars just need to go, you know.

What a pretty house it used to be, too. :(

I kind of wanted to take those dangly oranges.

It does look like it had some charm back in it's day. Shame it's in such ruins now.

I love that picture of the TV! I'm a sucker for old 70's televisions for some reason... When I was growing up we had one from 1978, I think. I miss it. D;

March 12 2009, 05:02:02 UTC 3 years ago

I seriously wanted to take it but once I got closer to it the floor was very mushy under my feet. I wasn't about to test that area. I backed up real quick.

[info]rant

March 12 2009, 05:14:39 UTC 3 years ago

This entire area, about a 150 years ago was booming. Big time. It was a huge coal mining area. The town I currently live in had over 100,000 people living in it back then.

Right now, our current population is about 5,000. This area had an old style strip mall. It had an opera house. It had diners and drive ins and you name it.

Now we've got fast food and Wal-Mart. That's it.

As the coal mines closed down the people left.

omg..wow... sorry i can't say anything better; i'm kinda speechless right now.. the first shots of the house..wow..creepy..it totally reminded me of a house near mine growing up. it was deemed 'the haunted house'. it was seriously something straight out of a horror flick. And the yard. omg. you'd just have to see it to believe it. and the old lady that lived there. then, later one of my classmates lived there (after the lady, of course). just creepy.

[info]rant

March 12 2009, 16:34:12 UTC 3 years ago
