A Man's House...

Whoa, two posts in one day! I haven't been exploring in a while so Saturday hit up two locations with a partner in crime.

Bara Castle is probably the most epic apparment I've ever seen, it's a shame to see it neglected and abandoned. However I did see evidence that some work is being done/has been done recently to attempt modernization and reuse, but it's still far away.

The Castle itself was built in the 1930s.

It's beautiful and what a shame to neglect such a beautiful building! *is in love with the fireplaces*

I hope that they'll really get it into shape soon.

Fingerprints - can't be blood? Otherwise they would be brown wouldnt they?

Fantastic photographs :)While its not the gloomiest of places theres definately something stark and eerie about it.

Yes, the fingerprints are not blood.

My first visit was at night, then it was really eerie, during the day much nicer.

The fireplaces in this are fantastic. I also love the photo of the peeling paint with the radiator. And the one of the textured windows.

I know the feeling! My hubs and I went driving through backroads in search of abandoned anything yesterday.

What a gorgeous place! Your photos are fantastic and make me want to visit it myself.

Wow, this is amazing. A bit of a horror feel, but none the less amazing.

At first I thought the fingerprints were paint. It can't be blood, but what is it?

It's not blood, at least not real blood. Probably is paint or theater blood.

There is a similar building to that where I live, it's around the same age, and reminds me of a congress/white house type building with HUGE columns, but it is not abandoned.

I could fix that up; doesn't look like it's in that bad a state of disrepair... (I did home renovations for a while.) Too bad I'm poor. :(

I hope they fix it up. It's too gorgeous to tear down, or to let it rot.
