Why didn't Spielberg have carnivirous trees in the Jurasic Park movies? I mean, back me up here, there WERE prehistoric carnivirous trees, right??

Kind of sad. Looks like it used to be fun.

Was this the one used in the movie Tommy Boy?

No, that's in Marblehead, OH USA. The same guy made the dinos though.

it's kinda sad. I went to one of these as a kid out on the East coast somewhere. There's something haunting about this.

OH MY GOD. I used to go here as a kid. It is really bittersweet to see the condition things are in now. Last I knew it was for sale...I'd expected it was bulldozed into condo lots by now.

Was it during the Permian or the Triassic period that the trees with mouths, noses and eyes became extinct?

A weird place. I especially like the last picture : we don't know if the beast is going to catch you, or is asking for help.

Nice photos! It's sad they've been abandoned, all they need is a spot of paint.

Oh, man...Irish Hills. I wonder if Mystery Spot is still there? These photos are bringing me waaaaay back.

Yes the mystery spot is still there and I believe that it is still open, but it's been a year since I driven in Irish Hills. Most of Irish HIlls shut down. It's a real shame too, I remember going there many times as a kid.

Ah, you beat me too it! I was going to go there this summer and take pictures (well I still will). I loved Irish Hills growing up, I really hope that one day it will be like it was. Beautiful pictures, brought back memories.

There's a really moving video about this place somewhere on YouTube. I just saw it earlier this week.

I visited Prehistoric Forest and the Western theme park down the street (Stagecoach Stop?) many times as a kid. How weird to see it like this!
