A few days ago I decided to scout out a number of potential new locations to shoot and came across an enormous factory/warehouse that I wasn't even planning on visiting, but once I saw it I knew I had to snap off a few shots before moving on.

As far as I can tell, this place once manufactured and shipped washing machines, dryers, and other large appliances, most likely back in the 1940s and 50s. I hope to make a few more visits in the future, but the location is partially restored/occupied and isn't really in the most hospitable of neighborhoods.

That first image is so beautiful -- the vivid red and bright green leaves against the turquoise rectangles, and the charcoal grey...

Thank you! This is probably my personal favorite of all my photos to date for those same reasons.

Those windows were the first thing that caught my eye when I found the place. This was the most colorful abandonment I've found so far.

Wow, those windows are beautiful! I could drown in that photo.

Where in NY is this? I'm living in FL but am from NY.

I was going to ask the same thing as spicychilies : may I use the windows image as my wallpaper? I'll keep your credit attached.

This is in Rochester. This city has a lot of scattered abandonments (including an abandoned subway)... I always seem able to find "new" ones if I look hard enough.

As far as using one of my photos as a wallpaper, feel free. I only ask that credit be attributed if you plan on sharing it anywhere.

Oh, no I shan't share your photo anywhere.

I've flown in and out of ROC but never had the opportunity to look around Rochester. I'd love to see the abandoned subway and the site of your photos here. There are not many old industrial-type buildings to explore where I live now, alas.

I can never see too many photos of warehouse windows. I just love them so much, I even have an album dedicated to them.
