Interesting photos. Some seem to suggest that people just stopped what they were doing and walked away.

so it was an old Pioneer camp then?
Interesting to see it, they certainly left a lot of stuff there!

Seems pretty posh compared to the pics of other young pioneer camps I've seen. Love the old pics and the library looks like a cozy place for a read!

The photo of the kids with assault rifles and gas masks in a book used at summer camp is all sorts of messed up. I'm imagining the text would be something like,

'See Dick shoot. Shoot, Dick, shoot. See Jane die. Die, Jane, die.'

the juxtaposition of the abandoned camp and the old weathered photos from when it was in use is amazingly powerful and gave me the best kind of heebie-jeebies.

very nice collection. too many favorites to list. :)

God that first picture is eerie...it looks brand new as if everyone just deserted it or disappeared.

Nice photos. The radiators on the walls remind me of the ones at my old school.

It's so sad. But the photos are great. It's amazing how well preserved everything is.

I am not sad at all being a stanch anti communist American. Monuments of a former Soviet system.

I finds the camp disturbing but fascinating noting pictures 18 and 20.
I wonder how many camp, and factories like this exist, when The Soviet system fell, How many just a moment dropped everything and just waked away, leaving these places frozen and decaying in time. I would love just to spend hours rummage though such places.

Wonderful photos. How sad; it looks like it was a nice place once, and could be a nice place again with some work. Who currently owns all these former properties of the Soviet Union? Are they ever bought and renovated, or are they all destined to just sit empty till they collapse?

Amazing pictures. Whole place is creepy as all hell. But there's something sad about abandoned books.

Anyone know what any of the posters say?
