Hello all.

Recently I spent some time over in Italy, and while in Venice took a trip to some nearby islands. On the way, we passed a few smaller islands with abandoned structures on them. And so, here they are. :) Hope you enjoy.

I got a raft so I could figure out what the deal is with these abandoned tunnels:

and somewhat amazingly, they led me into this abandoned factory, built in the 1840s:

EDIT - Click here for a gallery are all the images I have taken of this place so far. It's in Lowell, MA.

Highlights from this Memorial Day weekend's mini-roadtrip to Ithaca on the motorcycle. Most were taken from the back of the bike, so I missed a lot of great shots, and I didn't take pictures of anywhere near ALL the cool things I saw.

Not all of these are abandoned places pics, but most are.

Hey all, I'm new here. This last summer we took a road trip from IA to California and drove through Utah. We went down some back roads covered in Mormon Crickets (should have taken pics of THOSE suckers!) to find a ghost town that was listed on the map, but no such luck. All we found was some mine and more crickets, some people camping and an old dried up lake, if I remember correctly. We got back on the road and traveled for a couple hours until my friend needed a break from travelling, so we stopped at an abandoned gas station- one of the highlights of our trip. The place had some great retro architecture, but what happened here we have yet to figure out.
