This is an old abandoned railway tunnel in the Botanics in the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. It was closed in the fifties or sixties, I think. This is just the one entrance, but you can pretty much navigate the whole network if you have a big torch, wellie boots and aren't easily spooked by the occasional drug addict or wandering punky grafitti artist. A bit later along the line from this is a subterranean railway station with amazing graffitti that's been completely taken over by plants. It's a surreal kind of place.

smaller now :)

Sometimes you just don't have time to photograph during the day. This is a night photo including a sliver moon.
The facility includes an ice house, and an underground bunker for those who don't mind crawling into a crack in the ground.

Someone was thoughtful enough to hacksaw a few bars off the gate so I could go inside.

This shot was lit with a flashlight. A 15 second exposure. Check out how some of the graffiti reacts to the light.
