After a long awaited exploration my friend and I finally went forth and explored. We were thinking about exploring a lot more of the local rural farm houses(our speciality of course), when she mentioned she saw a collapsed barn on this one dirt road. We decided to go check it out and low and behold there was a collapsed barn and a very long dirt driveway that wound back into some brush. Slowly creeping down the driveway we spot this wonderful, pristine farm house.

After much deliberation and climbing we made our way into the house. The mouldings, the ceilings, the whole house was amazing. It even had one of those old footed bathtubs! We climbed the stairs and found some pretty weird stuff though. It looked as though the 3 upstairs rooms were occupied by children. All the doors and walls in each room had writing in them. It seemed as though the two girls who lived there (two girls and one boy we think) didn't really like each other. Nasty stuff was written on the doors like "Beware the Bitch". Now, it took us forever to climb into this house, and it was so nicely kept that I didn't believe vandals had come in and written stuff. All of the writing and the drawings were children's scribble.

We made our way upstairs to the attic of the house where we found more children's drawings and writing. There were trains and people and buses drawn on the walls with crayon. It was pretty crazy. Overall it was a wonderfully interest house. I'd love to go back and have another look around through it.

Behind the cut are just a few of the many pictures I took inside the house.

Questing in Colorado

Hello! I'll delete this if it isn't allowed.

I'm planning a cosplay (costume-play) photoshoot later this month, and since the theme is "Silent Hill" (anyone familiar with the games/movie? They're downright creepy.), I'm digging everywhere for interesting abandoned locations for the shoot here in Colorado, prefferably within an hour of Denver, since we're coming from Littleton (which most people count as Denver anyway).

After briefly checking Google, I found these, but since most've the photos were taken in 2004, I assume a lot of the places have since then been demolished.

Any info on these locations would be much appreciated, as well as suggestions of other places that would be open to our private little photoshoot.

Thanks!

Today, I met up with brian_z who graciously accompanied me around Lowell, MA to some abandoned mills. Despite rather stagnate temperatures inside the mills, it was a great day. If anyone can get around to visiting Lowell, I suggest it. It's a beautiful city with lots of history.

You can also view the full set on Flickr. (25 photos).

A friend and I explored an abandoned Coca-Cola building in Tallahassee, FL. Images are exterior/interior and include plenty of graffiti. Click on the teaser image or this text and the gallery will open in a new window. Enjoy!
