Wompatuk State Park

Thought you guys might like these shots I got this week at an abandoned WWII bomb facility inside a MA state park. If you would like to see more of the collection take a look at my flickr album. http://www.flickr.com/photos/missamyclay/sets/72157607232803383/

Pool and ice box in the woods

Hi!  I'm a long-time lurker, first-time poster.  I work at a Girl Scout camp, and one of the more popular hikes for groups with enough time is way down the creek to the site of an abandoned swimming pool and ice box.  The story is that there was once a hotel here as well, but we've seen few signs of that.  It's out in the middle of the woods, no roads around (aside from signs of a very old road, part of which 4-wheelers probably still use)...  I've asked around a couple of Missouri history websites without any luck.  But I thought this might be a good place to post some pictures!

This is in the woods of Pevely, Missouri (about 40 minutes south of St. Louis).

I'm not sure how old this place is, but I try to visit whenever I can.  If anyone has any ideas about it, or if you've found similar things, I'd love to hear about it!
