December 8, 2008

I've been lazy about posting these... I want to post pictures from AMARG [the Airplane Boneyard] as well, but I don't think it constitutes an abandoned place, seeing as how it's on a live USAF Base.

Anyways, we took a trip down to Arizona. We flew into Phoenix, and decided to take small roads into Tucson to see what we could see, as it were. We happened across a little compound, three houses all abandoned, and we couldn't resist.. My mother's boyfriend shook his head ruefully, to be sure... Three foreigners more than likely trespassing and being weird.. But oh, well! got some great shots.

Old Amber, New Jersey

First time poster, long time lurker. I reside in NW New Jersey, so a lot of the places I tend to explore are in this area.

This place is buried in the woods about 15 miles from my tiny hometown. A friend of mine showed me where it was and dubbed it 'Old Amber' due to it's faded yellow tone. The name was so much prettier than 'Yellow House' which is what I would have called it.

Anyway, onto the photos!
