Abandoned prison in Brazil

I have been watching the postings here for ages. Some of the photography is breathtakingly beautiful. These are a couple of shots I took of an abandoned prison I saw in Brazil a few years ago. I believe it was mainly for political prisoners. The whole place was pretty creepy  but quite cool to look round. In one part there was a huge flock of parakeets in the trees. I have more pictures I would love to post if someone can explain to me how to do this "under the cut" thing. Love to get some feedback.

Crispy findings in Maine.

Does anyone know anything about the abandoned bingo hall/outdoor skate rink/flea market thing off of Forest Ave. in Portland, Maine? I'm curious to know the history since part of it burned down there's a very unusual building there.

Sorry I lack photos. I will post soon though!

So I was hiking with a couple of friends yesterday. We ended up getting lost, but it was a blessing in disguise because we stumbled upon these beautiful abandoned shacks. The shacks belonged to berrypickers a long time ago. The first thing I thought about when I saw them was the community. The pictures are under the cut. (There are a lot and I'm not even posting them all!)

Burnt and abandoned electricity power plant in Finland

This is my first time posting here, so hello everybody :) I've been a member for a while, and into abandoned place far longer. I live in a small town in northern Finland (so obviously English isn't my first language, sorry about any mistakes I might make). Even if this is a very small place, luckily we're a coastal town and there's a nice amount of old saw mills and hydroelectric plants etc here. There are also abandoned houses, which I actually love a tiny bit better than industrial factories and such.

More pics behind the cut.

Any comments and criticism are appreciated!

Thanks for looking!

*I'm not sure if it's the right term, an online translator gave me 'electricity power plant', though I almost would have figured it would be 'electrical power plant' instead or something. Well, anyway, I hope you know what I mean. Would appreciate knowing the right term, though :P
