Random Picturing

I've been a long-time follower of this group, mostly because I love photography, and for some reason, photography of abandoned places excites me. Anyways, I've finally decided to post up some old photos I have. It's from the winter, and it was -10 outside, so they aren't as explored as I would like them to be, but they are abandoned. :)

I drive past here all the time

I drive past this little place, all the time, when I'm going to visit my daughters. The problem is the people who live across the street are very hyper aware, and when I got out to look in the windows came and asked me to leave.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the inside. I wish I had. Just these three from the front -- from inside my car:




I think at one point, it was some sort of post office or tiny general store. But, like I said, I wasn't able to look inside. I'm going back that way soon, and hope to rectify that.

Edit: This is on a major, rural, thoroughfare. There is no sidewalk. That's why I took my pictures from my car, pulled over to the side of the road, with my blinkers on. Thanks for the tips, though.

The Old Milking Shed

After our Point Peron excursion, Jethro and I conducted a scout of an old Dairy Farm on the outskirts of Rockingham.

Setup in the 1920's, the farm was part of a scheme by the the WA government of the time to increase agriculture and provide employment for returned soldiers from WWI
