Abandoned railway trestle bridge

On a recent roadtrip with dalekboy (the same roadtrip where we explored the giant bucket dredger, in fact) we found an old disused railway bridge that must have been at least 100 years old. The railway had been shifted to a different location so the poor old bridge had been left to rot.

The railway line had been removed and a few planks had been pulled up at either end, probably to stop people trying to drive across it in their cars since the bridge had started to rot away. The support beam that dalekboy is walking on in that photo was actually rather soft and spongy. :0

Not long after we found this little guy:

Creepy Abandoned House in PA

I'm not sure where exactly I took this, but it was on my 4 hour journey from my parents house back up to Edinboro, PA where I attend school.
It was a nifty house- spooky as all get out! It felt like there was a "presence" and I usually don't get that feeling when I go UE.

I thought I had more- but I can't seem to find them! ackk

Boyd Station, PA

An old farmhouse that suffered from fire damage. I was upset at first because we were afriad of trespassing and there was a truck in the driveway...
but then!!! We saw a guy walking up to the truck- so we pulled up near and asked if he knew the owner
"Unfortunately" he said. "He's my step-dad"
we asked if it would be a problem if we took some photos of it
"Sure, just don't go inside. It's not safe" he mentioned how people seem to love to stop here
"I don't know why- but people are always stopping here to take photos..."
I know why!!!
He told us a story how he yelled at some moron who was inside the building with a tripod and everything "Maam, get the hell outta there!" :P

so we went about the place- with full license to take photos :D :D OH HAPPY DAY!!!!

Abandoned Hotel/and House

I have lived in Lock Haven, PA my whole life, and know/knew all of the abandoned locations. This one I knew you couldn't venture into (too closed up) but I decided to bring the boyfriend and let him check it out.

Also, while out with friends, geocaching in Farrendsville, I found this little house.

Keystone Ordinance and Locations on the way

Once again, my boyfriend and I went exploring and found some lovely gems on the back roads of PA :-)
Up near Geneva, PA- we found the gems of all gems... 16+ abandoned buildings, each with a different personality- right next to each other. It was the Mecca!

(we did get closer- don't worry!)
Instead of taking the *duh* nice, dry path parallel to railroad tracks to get to the area, we stupidly went through the marsh- a direct route towards the buildings. It was very hot that day, so really, stepping in mucky wet marshland was refreshing- and fun!

On the way to this area, we also stopped at a couple other areas- an abandoned church and a very stark, blank house
