Three Shelters

The title comes from the story of the Transfiguration, specifically Peter's famous line found in Mark 9:5.

Peter exclaimed, "Rabbi (Teacher), it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials[a]—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." Mark 9:5 New Living Translation

The Church of the Transfiguration in Buffalo, NY, was built in the Gothic Style in the last 1800s, the parish was shut down and locked the doors in 1991. The bells are still up in the steeple. The entire place is covered in animal waste, and fallen plaster.

Abandoned House and Bridge

We were driving around Canterbury, NH, when we took a wrong turn, and ended up on this random road. We're driving, and we see this sign that says "BRIDGE CLOSED". We keep going, and- surprise! The bridge really is closed. Totally grown over. I heard people talking and laughing, though, but I'm not sure from where- they were either on the bridge/beyond it, or on the path that went down into the woods next to the bridge.
We turn around, and, to my pleasant surprise, there was this pretty, abandoned house right in the area. As far as I could see, it was tightly boarded up, and, unfortunately, I couldn't go poke around the back of it because it's right next to some kind of turf farm and there was somebody mowing. Didn't wanna risk it.
