urbex mask

School of Hard Knocks

This is a re-visit to a location I last posted about here, nicknamed "Bordon" school in Atlanta. I took the chance to go back because my first visit was so ill-prepared: I forgot my spare memory cards, and I didn't realize there were two basement areas (boiler room and kitchen) as well as a large auditorium that warranted additional exploration. Armed with the proper photographic equipment, I also was able to bracket my shots for HDR merging. (I know the over-processed look does not suite everyone, but I always feel like these places are very surreal to begin with, so that is the style I choose when possible.)

urbex mask

(no subject)

This was a location that had always been on my to-do list, but I never had a proper chance to check it out. It's a former rail car factory in Atlanta, and if I just say "Fast and the Furious", any locals should know exactly what place I'm talking about. Even though it was cleaned up and used as a movie set, it has obviously been infiltrated by taggers, and surprisingly still has several artifacts still in place.
