The Windsor Ruins, Claiborne County, Mississippi

I just got back from a mini road trip to western Mississippi (I live in southern Louisiana), and this is one of the things I saw. This was the largest antebellum Greek Revival plantation house in the state, it survived the Civil War only to burn down in 1890. The only thing left is the columns, they're brick covered in plaster with metal finials. There are a few connecting strips of wrought iron, probably those were balcony railings. It's wonderfully eerie to come upon them all alone, propping up thin air.
