Admin Note - Posts that come up for screening

Hello again everyone,

Couple of minor admin notes. While I check on the community daily, due to work, some of that access is read-only. If I don't get to your posts, comments or requests immediately, it's not due to disinterest. Life happens and sometimes I'm delayed.

To add to this, LJ has over the last 2 years taken to randomly screening some posts to this and other communities. The long and the short; if your post gets screened, I'll look at it from my home computer and the associated firewalls there first before it goes live on the community. I've already been burned recently where some enterprising bot maker attached a spamware bot to the signature of their e-mail that auto-extracted on my phone. As least at home, I have some greater measure of security.

Long time lurker, first post!

The following picture was taken by my husband in my favorite place to visit...beautiful Harpers Ferry, WV.

Historic Hilltop House Hotel should, IMO, be restored to its former glory because of all its history. I ate at their restaurant that practically hangs off the side of a cliff for many of my birthdays as a kid. For over 100 years it has sat atop this steep hillside and provided rooms with amazing views at the cusp of West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland. It looks down upon the Shenandoah River. The first version of the place was built in 1888.

But now it looks like this:

If you'd like to read more about this fascinating location, and see what it looked like before it was in ruins, you can check out their website:

I know I probably sound like a travel agent, but this is my favorite place in the world and while I love old abandoned buildings in general, I do wish it was structurally sound again.
