Why was that town abandoned?

That's an amazing set of photos. It's so fascinating to imagine that place being alive with people going about their business, not to mention living on floors that have long since collapsed. Beautiful.

This was a fabulous set and I really love that the ruins weren't overrun by tourists.

There can't be anything better than exploring an entire abandoned village with only a friend or two.

This place is not near to tourist ways. So there are no graffiti and garbage here.

Beautiful. Those pictures really give a great feel for a town destroyed by war yet retaining it's humanity.
