Another update on the mansion redevlopment at 101 Alma rd in Melbourne.

The developers have done a lovely job of the stables, but sandwiched inbetween the stables and the main house is this modern white box.

Two bedrooms and a garage, with a little balcony on top, but both bedrooms get no light and are on the ground floor, one through that strange triangular window under the internal stairs.

The other bedroom has strange glass louvres (ground floor? hello burglars! rob me!) and sits only about 8 feet from the kitchen window shown here on the right, close enough that you wouldn't get any sleep if there was noise in their kitchen, dishes clattering, etc.. In winter, both of these bedrooms would be freezing, and would totally rely on heating.

It's one of the last two units in the mansion redevelopment to sell, and goes to auction this weekend, with a price tag of $660,000. Insane. Have a look inside here
