25 years since the Chernobyl meltdown

This community includes so many mindbending reports about Pripyat and Chernobyl in Ukraine, that I was supposed to show another short but very interesting photo-stories about these abandoned places.

Photographer from Mexico Jan Smith has spent considerable time in Chernobyl and Pripyat this winter preparing photographic reportage and artistic work in anticipation of the 25 years since the Chernobyl meltdown.

P.S. Also I would recommend you his encouraging post about the differences between Fukushima and Chernobyl: http://networkedblogs.com/fCgtE
Have a nice virtual trip!
