Located in a small backwater hamlet 2 hours from Tokyo, the Old West Amusement Park closed in 2007.
It features a 1/3 size replica of Mt. Rushmore which cost $27 million to build.

How bizarre! I live in the real 'old west' and this fake 'ghost town' is so strange.

Wow, amazing spot, like an old west ghost town. It's remarkably free of vandalism and I'm surprised at some of the stuff left behind.

There's much less vandalism in Japan.

I think the Owners were probably planning to reopen the park in the future, although now much of it is starting to rot

This is amazing. I would love to visit. What exactly does the scary dentist scene represent?

It's the House of Horrors, inside the building there are lots more, but it was completely boarded up. I'm not one for forcing entry.

That actually does freak me out. And I wouldn't go in either if it was boarded up. But I would love to visit this place.

I think that is the most amazing image from the shoot. Love the music in the viseo. Well done.

This looks a lot like a theme park we used to have in the UK called 'American Adventure'. That closed down a few years ago but unfortunately everything is gone from there now.
