Late summer holidays in Gozo. After a day of discoveries, we came here for the bay and the Calypso cave in the cliff. Because of landslide, the cave was closed but halfway from the beach, we discovered this big abandoned building facing the sea and decided to take a closer look at it.

Along the road were also a few abandoned houses, one quite ancient...

...one more modern and elegant, but unfinished :

Here we are...

As we were taking our first inside pictures, a middle-aged guy came in. He didn't tell us to go out, but introduced himself as an ancient watchman of the place - formerly  a beautiful and lively nightclub, now slowly turning to ruins...
And that's how we got our private guided tour of the mysterious abandoned building !

Upstairs, in the right part, were some living rooms where you can still sit in a big armchair to contemplate the landscape... or take a fresh bath in a (not so) clean bathroom :-)

Downstairs, were the kitchen and large reception rooms

How lovely and just a little sad, as are so many of these abandoned sites. Thank you for sharing them with us!

How could anyone abandon such a place? The ancient building I understand but with those views I can't understand why everyone wouldn't be flocking to that club.
