This is all that remains of the former General Cable complex. It shut down in the late '60s and much was destroyed by a spectacular fire in 1976. The rest was torn down in (I think) the '90s.
The water tower is still standing

An OLD fire hydrant

Loading dock area for boxcars. This was once indoors.

Another structure that remains.

Revere Copper & Brass, Rome Mfg. Division, once made those RevereWare copper-bottomed cooking pots & pans. I'm uncertain as to when it closed down--perhaps in the '90s?
