It isn’t in a rural area. It is located Allison Park, PA, an upper middle class suburb about 10 miles North of Pittsburgh. The building itself is about 50 feet away from an apartment complex on one side, about 30 feet from a housing plan on the other side, and about 50 feet from a main road on the other side. Not nearly as secluded as it seems.
The whole time I was trying to move quickly. Although I checked for no trespassing signs, I still wasn’t sure I wasn’t just tramping through someone’s backyard. There is a house near the barn and although it appeared to be pretty run down, there were trash cans sitting outside and I didn’t want to chance that someone was living there and was home.
The white orbs are snowflakes. Also, some of the thumbnails have supload defaults instead of showing what the actual picture is. If you click the thumbnail, the real picture will show up, not the lady and the kid on the thumbnail.

The plank appeared to have been placed there to get to the other side but I wasn’t about to try it.
This appeared to be some sort of loft on the upper right. “Mike” is the only graffiti I found.
Seriously, how is this still standing?
So you can get an idea of how this barn is situated in a residential area here are the houses behind the barn.
Two of the apartment complex buildings. There are 14 total, I think. With so many people living so close, I’m really surprised there wasn’t any vandalism to the place.
Up until now there was nothing to indicate anyone had been there in a ling time. Very little graffiti, no trash, and there were small trees starting to take hold in what used to be the driveway up to the back. Then I found this.
At first I panicked a little and was like, oh crap, I’m about to be the opening sequence on an episode of Law and Order. Then I looked closer and decided there were too many teeth and they were too straight to be human. I’m guessing from the size it was a dog. There was no fur anywhere near by so I guess these were there for a long time.
Getting a little braver, I got closer for a look inside form the front. Many of these are blind shots over the barriers.
There were a bunch of these lying around. They are really thin slab-like disc. I have no idea what they have been used for.
This was a blind shot. It wasn’t until later when I noticed the reflector that I realized it was a bike, and a pretty nice one from the looks of it. I wonder if it is new or if it has been there a long time but has been protected from the elements.
Looking up to where the loft would have been. You can kind of make out a white board on the wall and it appears to have some numbers on it.
I think I might try to go back in the summer when the weather is better.
